SELLING YOUR FURNITURE THROUGH LINDA’S FURNITURE

The store will take living room, dining room, bedroom, and home office furniture.  It will also take oriental rugs, curios, entertainment centers, pictures, lamps, mirrors, and accessories.

GENERAL PARAMETERS

Furniture must be in good condition and saleable in today’s market.  If any of the furniture needs cleaning they will need to be cleaned before the store will receive them in to sell.  Any repairs needing to be done will need to be taken care of before bringing them in, or a repair service will be required before it goes to the floor.

The store will NOT receive the following:  Dated merchandise or materials, orange, rust, brown plaids, stained merchandise or items falling apart.  Items cannot be worn, torn or slashed, smoked on or burned.  Tables or bedroom furniture cannot have major water damage on their tops and no metal or walnut desks will be received.  Also no wall esconces, barrel shade lamps, hanging kitchen light fixtures, or very small accessories will be received.

DESCRIPTION OF OPTIONS FOR SELLING YOUR USED FURNITURE

TRADE-IN OF FURNITURE

Trade-in of gently used furniture is available towards other merchandise in the store whether new or used.  Trade-in will net you more than an outright buy and you can apply the trade-in value immediately towards what you are buying in the store.  If you put your furniture in for trade-in and you are not immediately ready to purchase other items, a gift certificate will be given you to spend towards other merchandise at a later date. (Gift Certificates from Linda’s Furniture do not expire!)

OUTRIGHT PURCHASE FROM YOU

The store may give you a check for your merchandise on the spot.  Under this selling option, you will not net as much for your items as you would under the trade-in described above.

APPRAISAL OF YOUR FURNITURE

We may visit your home to do an appraisal for you.  In this case, a refundable appraisal fee will be charged.  The fee will be refunded back to you when you put the merchandise in the store under either of the selling options described above. If you do not want to put your items in the store after the appraisal the fee will be charged to you based on hourly rate.

You may also bring pictures to the counter of the store for an appraisal, or you may bring the merchandise to the store for appraisal.  Be sure and call before bringing furniture to the store in order to ascertain if the store has space on the retail floor for the merchandise.  We will not store merchandise for you before there is room on the floor.

The delivery truck may pick up merchandise for you and the appraisal can be done at the store.

Also if you have purchased furniture from the store and paid for a delivery charge, our truck can pick up your furniture for an extra (much smaller) fee and bring your items back to the store.

You may e-mail pictures of your merchandise for appraisal to rob@lindasfurniture.com.  Please be sure that you give a contact phone number for us to reach you. Due to the large amount of e-mails received you will get a faster response either bringing pictures in or bringing your furniture in (of course after calling).

APPRAISAL OF MERCHANDISE FOR ESTATE, TAX, DIVORCE PURPOSES

A flat fee will be charged if you desire appraisal of your merchandise for estate, tax, divorce, closure, or general distribution purposes.  Call the store for details.

PICKUP POLICY

Pickup of your merchandise is available on a fee basis if you wish not to bring the items to be sold to the store with your own transportation.  Call the store for details at 801-487-3992.
